Emergency window punches are designed primarily for compatible tempered side-window glass. Many windshields and some newer side windows use laminated glass, which may crack but remain held together instead of shattering. Check the markings in the corner of your vehicle's side windows or consult the vehicle manufacturer so you know which emergency exits are suitable before an emergency occurs.

Does it work on the windshield?
It should not be relied upon for windshields. Automotive windshields are generally laminated and designed to remain together when cracked.
Will it work on every side window?

How does the window punch work?
The tool uses a spring-loaded pointed tip. When pressed firmly against compatible tempered side glass, the internal mechanism releases concentrated impact at the tip.
How does the seatbelt cutter work?
Remove the appropriate cover, place the belt webbing into the recessed cutting channel and draw the tool through the belt using controlled force.
Where should I keep it?
